Ergon Insights exists to help people and organizations operate at their highest function, whatever their size, whatever their work. Ergon(ἐργον) is the Greek word for one’s proper work done with excellence: the function you were built to perform, executed at the highest level you’re capable of.
That’s the same act at every scale. A CTO who finally has a strategy worth defending. A small business that stops losing calls it will never get back. Every engagement we take on builds toward a durable technology economy in the Appalachian Highlands, where people don’t have to choose between the career they want and the place they call home.
We’re a veteran-owned family business, founded and wholly owned by Jason Oglesby and his wife, both U.S. military Veterans. Service shaped how we lead: servant leadership, high accountability, and doing the proper work with excellence. When you hire us, that’s the standard you get, and the work you fund helps build something lasting in our corner of Northeast Tennessee.
That is also why we give the work away once a month. Appalachia Advances automates one business process for a small regional organization every month, free, because the fastest way to build the economy we want is to hand people back the hours they are losing.
